ARTICLE: Fatal Fulminant Hepatic Failure Induced by Natural Therapy Containing Kava
SUMMARY: The case report of a patient who suffered acute liver failure and died after using a preparation containing kava and passionflower. The patient's death occurred after the Therapeutic Goods Association (TGA) issued a report concerning the potential for hepatotoxicity associated with the use of kava-containing products.
