JASPER, Ala. - A man who allegedly sustained numerous neurological injuries after using Zocor has filed suit against Merck, the manufacturer of the cholesterol-lowering drug, and a number of unnamed defendants. Lowell H. Lolley and Mary Ann Lolley v. Merck & Co., Inc., No. CV-03-J-0617-J (N.D. Ala., Jasper Div.).
As a result of his alleged injuries, which include weakness in his arms and lower extremities and the inability to 'perform any significant exertions,' plaintiff Lowell Lolley claims that he will be precluded from returning to work and has become totally disabled.
