PHOENIX — In a new lawsuit, an Arizona woman alleges she was implanted with a defective Synthes Radial Head Prosthesis that required her to undergo a premature revision surgery, causing impairment and weakness in her ligaments, bone and muscles and potentially more surgeries in the future.
In a Sept. 20 complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona, the plaintiff says the defendants failed to warn surgeons that the Synthes device’s risk of loosening was greater and more frequent than those of competitor devices.
