PHOENIX — An Arizona federal judge has allowed a lawsuit targeting a new BET inhibitor drug to proceed, finding the plaintiffs presented sufficient evidence that Constellation Pharmaceuticals Inc. acted negligently by failing to adhere to federal regulations governing the drug’s clinical trials.

On Aug. 16, Judge John Tuchi of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona explained that if the study’s sponsor does not fulfill its duty to the investigator, then, by extension, it does not fulfill its duty to the participant.
