NEW ORLEANS - The manufacturer of Lunelle, a monthly contraceptive injection, is accused of gross and wanton negligence and lack of expertise by a woman who claims that she became pregnant and had a child after receiving the drug. Shenitta Nunnery v. Pharmacia Corp. No. 03-0947 (E.D. La.).
Plaintiff Shenitta Nunnery's suit seeks to recover damages for the medical and healthcare costs of having a child, the costs of clothing, education, food and other expenses of having a child and the mental anguish, aggravation and inconvenience of having a child.
