New Boxed Warning for Scabies and Lice Treatment
to Emphasize Dangers of Neurotoxicity

WASHINGTON - The new boxed warnings accompanying Lindane shampoo and lotion will caution patients regarding the scabies and lice treatment's ability to cause neurotoxicity, according to an FDA Talk Paper released on Feb. 28.

The updated package insert will also inform consumers that the products should be used with caution on patients who weigh less than 110 pounds.
