NEW YORK - To ensure that confidential documents are afforded adequate protection, the federal court overseeing Rezulin multidistrict litigation has outlined requirements by which third party documents will be designated, redacted and disclosed. In re: Rezulin Products Liability Litigation (MDL 1348), No. 00cv2843 (S.D. N.Y.).
Judge Lewis Kaplan's Jan. 25 order addresses confidential documents produced or made available for inspection by any third party with respect to MDL No. 1348.
These documents include all written, recorded or graphic material produced by a third party pursuant to Rule 34, by subpoena or by agreement. Parties producing the documents may designate them …
