PROVIDENCE, R.I. — A hernia repair patch case is timely because the plaintiff has sufficiently alleged that the device’s manufacturers fraudulently concealed its defective nature from the plaintiff and her doctors, a Rhode Island judge has ruled.

On Jan. 7, Judge Alice Gibney of the Rhode Island Superior Court found the allegations against Davol Inc. and C.R. Bard Inc. were sufficient to toll the limitations period.
