Texas Man Says DePuy’s Global Advantage Shoulder Implant Defectively Manufactured

HOUSTON — A Texas man has sued DePuy Orthopaedics Inc. in connection with its shoulder implant system, alleging the manufacturer failed to adequately warn surgeons of the device’s propensity to become loose and/or fracture.
In a complaint removed to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas on Oct. 30, the plaintiff further alleges the device was defectively manufactured and that DePuy failed to instruct surgeons how to safely use its components.
