Fla. Federal Judge Threatens Corin with Default Judgment in Cormet System Hip Action

FORT MYERS, Fla. — A Florida federal judge has ordered Corin Group to show cause why a default judgment should not be entered in a Cormet System hip replacement device on the plaintiffs’ remaining claims of manufacturing defect and loss of consortium.
In an Oct. 9 order, Senior Judge John E. Steele of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida noted Corin has failed to file an answer to those claims.
