MDL Docket Created for Cases Involving Zimmer M/L Hip with Kinectiv Technology and VerSys Head

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A federal panel has created a multidistrict litigation docket in New York for all cases arising out of the Zimmer M/L Taper Hip Prosthesis and Zimmer M/L Taper Hip Prosthesis with Kinectiv Technology when paired with the Zimmer VerSys Hip System Femoral Head.

In an Oct. 3 order, the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict litigation agreed with the moving plaintiffs that the 28 actions involve common questions of fact, and that centralization will serve the convenience of the parties and witnesses and promote the just and efficient conduct of the litigation.
