Bayer Victorious in Nation's Second Baycol-Related Injury Trial

JACKSON, Miss. - On April 3, a Mississippi jury awarded Bayer Corp. its second victory in less than a month involving claims filed by an individual allegedly injured as a result of using Baycol. Virgie Hardy v. Bayer Corp., et al., No. 01-00069 (Miss. Cir. Co., Hinds Cty.).
The Hinds County Circuit Court jury rejected 70-year-old Virgie Hardy's claim that she developed muscle pain after taking the cholesterol-lowering drug.
