Biomet MDL Judge Says No Direct Filings Will be Permitted After Sept. 1

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — The Indiana federal judge overseeing the Biomet M2a Magnum hip implant multidistrict litigation docket has ordered that no direct filings of cases will be allowed after Sept. 1.

In an Aug. 24 order, Judge Robert L. Miller Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana asked the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict litigation to stop issuing conditional transfer orders to the MDL as of Sept. 1.
