MDL Judge Grants Plaintiff's Petition to Extend Deadline for Designation of Class Representatives

CHARLESTON, W.V. - A federal judge granted the plaintiff's petition requesting that the deadline for the designation of class representatives be extended from March 24 to April 24. In re: Serzone Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 1477 (S.D.W.V.).

In an order dated April 3, U.S. District Judge Joseph R. Goodwin rejected the defendant's objection that extending the deadline would delay the class certification process.

The defendants have until July 31 to complete depositions of the putative class representatives pursuant to Pretrial Order No. 6, the order states.
