NEW YORK — A New York federal judge has dismissed an action against B. Braun Medical Inc. involving its VenaTech IVC filter, ruling that the plaintiff failed to adequately allege how the device’s allegedly defective design caused her injuries.

In a July 24, Judge Andrew L. Carter Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York further held that the plaintiff failed to plead her failure-to-warn, breach of warranty and fraud claims with the requisite specificity.
