ARTICLE: Case Reports of Heart Failure After Therapy with a Tumor Necrosis Factor Antagonist
SUMMARY: A cases series involving 47 patients who experienced new or worsening heart failure during treatment with tumor necrosis factor (TNF) antagonists. Nineteen of the 38 patients who developed new-onset heart failure had no identifiable risk factors for heart failure and ten patients were under 50 years of age. Following the discontinuation of TNF antagonist therapy, the ten patients were administered treatments for heart failure.
