Makes of Psoriasis Drug
to Include Warnings on Depression

Hoffmann-La Roche, the manufacturer of Soriatane, announced that it recently received approval from the FDA to update the package insert accompanying the psoriasis treatment to include warnings regarding the possible risk of depression, aggressive feelings and thoughts of self-harm in some patients.

The new label will also strengthen warnings about the possibility of birth defects and include a medication guide to ensure that patients understand how to use the drug.
