Parties Seek Extension in Conn. BHR Hip Case to Complete Deposition of Regulatory Expert

HARTFORD, Conn. — The parties in a Smith & Nephew BHR hip replacement action have jointly asked a Connecticut federal judge for an extension of time to complete the deposition of plaintiff’s regulatory expert James Monroe, arguing he was not available for his previously scheduled deposition.

In a May 24 consent motion, the parties explained that plaintiffs learned on May 22 that Monroe was hospitalized for a medical condition and could not make his May 24 deposition. The parties seek an extension until July 8 to complete the deposition.
