DePuy Opposes Plaintiffs’ Motion for Additional Witness Depositions in Pinnacle MDL

DALLAS — DePuy Orthopaedics Inc. is urging the judge overseeing the Pinnacle hip multidistrict litigation docket to bar plaintiffs from conducting new trial video depositions for 11 defense witnesses for use in further proceedings, arguing that it would be a waste of time and resources.

In an April 30 opposition filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, DePuy argues that in seeking the depositions, plaintiffs “merely want to use the 11 witnesses as props to introduce evidence that plaintiffs think is helpful to their case.”
