BEAUMONT, Texas - A woman who claims she suffered a brain injury after using Metabolife 356 has filed suit against the manufacturer and the store where she purchased the product alleging that the companies failed to adequately warn consumers about the potential dangers of the supplement. Sandra G. Sinegal v. Metabolife International, Inc., et al., No. E168677 (Texas Dist. Co., Jefferson Cty.).
Metabolife 'downplayed and understated' the risks associated with the product in its promotional literature and used testimonials that led consumers to believe that the supplement could not cause any serious side effects, the action states.
