IVC Filter Lawsuits to Proceed Against Argon Medical in N.Y. Federal Court

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — A New York federal judge has given the green light to two lawsuits in which plaintiffs allege they were injured by IVC filters made by Argon Medical Devices Inc., finding the claims of defective design and failure to warn were adequately pled.

On March 22, Judge David Hurd of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York further found the plaintiffs sufficiently alleged defendants breached warranties and made various misrepresentations regarding the risk of long-term implantation of the devices.
