SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Plaintiffs in the two metal-on-polyethylene (MoP) cases remaining in the Biomet M2a Magnum hip implant multidistrict litigation have moved for a suggestion of remand and consolidation in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

In a Feb. 21 joint motion filed before Judge Robert Miller of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, the plaintiffs argued that centralized pretrial proceedings in the cases have been achieved, and consolidation is warranted because the facts pled in each MoP case (White and Glynn) are nearly identical.
