BASTROP, Texas - The parents of a 24-year-old man who died after allegedly using an ephedra-based dietary supplement were awarded $1 million by a jury that found the supplement was partially responsible because it manufactured an unreasonably dangerous product. Charles Scurlock and Cora Scurlock v. Twinlab Corp., No. 23950 (Texas Dist. Ct., Bastrop Cty., 21st Judicial Dist.).
