BOSTON — Plaintiffs in the Stryker LFIT V40 Femoral Head multidistrict litigation have filed a master long form complaint in which they allege the device’s design and manufacturing defects caused them to sustain various injuries caused by the release of metal ions and debris into their bloodstreams.
In the Oct. 27 complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, plaintiffs further allege Stryker was well aware of defects in the LFIT CoCr V40 Femoral Head and its compatible components, yet misrepresented to patients and surgeons that they were made of materials that would prevent fretting and …
