Judge Orders Redaction of Expert Testimony Referencing Previous Pinnacle Hip Bellwether Trial

DALLAS — The Texas federal judge overseeing the fourth bellwether consolidated Pinnacle hip implant trial has ordered the parties to redact expert testimony referencing a previous bellwether trial.

On Oct. 27, Judge Ed Kinkeade of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas sustained objections to the testimony of Dr. Graham Huckell and ruled that if the references to the Aoki bellwether trial cannot be redacted in the transcript, the excerpts may not be presented to the jury.
