RENO, Nev. — A Nevada federal judge has remanded a lawsuit accusing Conformis Inc. of negligently delivering the wrong customized knee replacement implant to a surgeon, forcing a patient to undergo knee replacement surgery using a non-customized implant made by a different company.
On Sept. 26, Judge Larry Hicks of the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada found Conformis has not shown that the amount of controversy exceeds $75,000 and therefore has not met its burden for removal.
