SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Biomet Inc. seeks to exclude the testimony of plaintiffs’ generic expert, Dr. George Kantor, in the Biomet M2a Magnum hip implant multidistrict litigation, arguing that he lacks the requisite qualifications and has little experience with or knowledge of the device.
In a July 31 motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, Biomet maintains that Kantor improperly lumps together all metal-on-metal hip implants regardless of any design differences between the first- and second-generation.
