SEATTLE — Zimmer Inc. has reached a settlement with a Washington man who alleged that his implantation of an allegedly defective ML Taper hip replacement system caused him to suffer significant pain and required revision surgery.
According to a July 25 notice of settlement filed before Judge James L. Robart of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, the parties resolved allegations that the ML Taper device partially broke apart, triggering loosening.
