DALLAS — The Texas federal judge overseeing the DePuy Pinnacle hip multidistrict litigation has limited the scope of plaintiffs’ planned deposition of defendants’ marketing representative to topics concerning Johnson & Johnson’s involvement in corporate messaging.
In a July 7 order, Judge Ed Kinkeade further held that the deposition topics should include the role of J&J’s marketing department in the June 2012 FDA hearing on the safety of metal-on-metal implants, and J&J’s involvement in DePuy’s revisions to the Pinnacle device’s Instructions For Use.
