LAFAYETTE, Ind. — An Indiana federal magistrate judge has ordered Wright Medical Technology to produce information concerning other models of its Profemur hip replacement system in a lawsuit involving the alleged fracture and corrosion of its hip devices, ruling that the plaintiff’s request is not improper.

In a July 19 order, Magistrate Judge John E. Martin of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana also ordered Wright to produce documents relating to failure due to fracture and fretting, or corrosion of Profemur hip devices, and to define the term “heavyweight patients” as used in its advertising …
