SAN FRANCISCO — Defendants in California’s DePuy ASR Hip Implant coordinated docket have challenged plaintiffs’ bid to have 20 cases retransferred to the Los Angeles Superior Court, arguing that it would be counterproductive to the goals of the coordinated proceeding.
In a June 9 opposition filed in the San Francisco County Superior Court, defendants contend that the coordinated proceeding is the best way to manage the litigation and that a remand of the cases would result in duplicative efforts, wasted time, and unnecessary costs.
