Ind. Court Activates Discovery in ‘Group 4’ Cases in Biomet M2a Mangum Hip Implant MDL

SOUTH BEND, Ind. –– The court overseeing the national coordinated docket for claims relating to Biomet’s M2a Mangum Hip Implant has issued an order activating discovery in nearly 50 cases, requesting that the plaintiffs in those cases provide updated medical records authorizations by July 10.

In the April 7 order, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana said that the parties may additionally engage in case-specific discovery until January 2018 in the specified “Group 4” cases.
