Pinnacle Hip Implant Defendants Support Motion for Protective Order, Say Plaintiffs Seek Unnecessary Deposition

DALLAS –– Defendants involved in the federal multidistrict litigation docket for personal injury claims relating to DePuy’s Pinnacle Hip Implant have filed a reply brief supporting their motion for a protective order, maintaining that the plaintiffs are seeking a deposition that is not proportional to the needs of the cases.

In an April 4 reply brief filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, the defendants maintained that any testimony plaintiffs could obtain from the requested deponent “would be unrelated to the topics identified in plaintiffs’ 30(b)(6) notice.”
