Pa. Federal Judge Creates ‘Case of Convenience’ Docket for Existing, Future PPI Actions

PHILADELPHIA — A Pennsylvania federal judge has created a “case of convenience” docket, which consolidates all cases in which plaintiffs allege their ingestion of proton pump inhibitors (PPI) caused them to develop kidney disease.

On April 20, Judge Gene K. Pratter added to the docket any party appearing in the 37 existing cases, as well as any future case designated by the court to be included within the case of convenience.
