CHARLESTON, W. Va. — The judge overseeing the Ethicon transvaginal mesh multidistrict litigation has ordered remand of an action that is ready for trial to California federal court, urging that court to set the action for trial as soon as possible.

In an order filed Jan. 9, Judge Joseph R. Goodwin of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia held that the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California is proper venue for the case.
