Fla. Woman Sues Tylenol Maker, Says Drug Damaged her Liver

FT. MYERS, Fla. - A Florida woman sued McNeil-PPC Inc. on July 1 alleging severe liver damage from consuming its Tylenol pain reliever. Tammy Finley v. McNeil-PPC Inc., No. 2:05-cv-309-FTM-29 (20th Judicial Cir. Ct., Collier Cty.).
Tammy Finley sued McNeil in the 20th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida. She claims she used Tylenol (acetaminophen) for years and needed a liver transplant in 2003 because of the severe damage the drug caused her liver. She says she ceased using Tylenol after her transplant.
