Plaintiffs Ask JPML to Create Federal Docket for Proton-Pump Inhibitor Actions

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Plaintiffs have asked the U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation to coordinate and consolidate federal proton-pump inhibitor actions for pretrial proceedings in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana.
In an Oct. 17 motion, the plaintiffs argued that the 15 pending actions involve one or more common questions of fact, and that transfer and coordination would further the convenience of the parties and witnesses and promote the just and efficient conduct of the lawsuits.
