Plaintiffs Seek Transfer of Cialis Melanoma Actions to Viagra MDL in Calif.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Plaintiffs have asked the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation to transfer all federal cases involving an alleged link between the erectile dysfunction drug Cialis (tadalafil) and melanoma to the federal docket for Viagra melanoma actions.
In a Sept. 28 motion, plaintiffs argue that the need for judicial economy, consistency in rulings, and the commonality among the claims all merit consolidation and favor transfer of the actions into MDL 2691 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California (In Re: Viagra (Sildenafil Citrate) Products Liability Litigation).
