Texas Family Sues McNeil for Wrongful Death from Motrin

DALLAS - The family of a deceased Texas man sued McNeil Consumer & Specialty Pharmaceuticals on July 1, claiming the deceased died from consuming the company's pain reliever, Motrin. Lofton v. McNeil Consumer & Specialty Pharmaceuticals. No. 3-05cv1335 (N.D. Texas).
The descendant's wife, Sandy L. Lofton, and his children, Christopher, Tegan and Lauren Lofton, sued McNeil in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas. They claim that Christopher M. Lofton died as a result of Motrin (ibuprofen) consumption in June 2000.
