BALTIMORE — A Maryland federal judge has dismissed an inferior vena cava filter action without prejudice, finding the pro se plaintiff failed to present a factual basis for her claim that Boston Scientific Corp. manufactured her IVC filter.
On Aug. 10, Judge Roger W. Titus of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland further ruled that the plaintiff needs to address whether her action is barred by the statute of limitations, noting that it was filed 20 years after her device was implanted.
