Fluoroquinolone MDL Judge Defers Ruling on Calif. Plaintiffs’ Motion to Remand

MINNEAPOLIS — The judge overseeing the coordinated docket for fluoroquinolone cases has deferred ruling on a motion to remand filed by four plaintiffs, explaining that he will revisit the motion after reviewing information underlying the plaintiffs’ pleadings against a nondiverse drug distributor.
On Aug. 5, Judge John Tunheim of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota explained that he made his decision “in the interests of judicial economy and in light of the purpose of MDLs.”
