TRENTON, N.J. — A New Jersey appellate court has overturned an $18 million Accutane verdict issued in favor of two plaintiffs, ruling that the trial court erred in admitting as evidence a change to the drug’s warning label made in 2000 — after the plaintiffs had stopped taking the drug — finding it was prejudicial to the defendant drug makers.
On July 22, the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division, further held that the trial court erred in limiting the number of expert witnesses who could testify on behalf of defendants on the issue of general causation. The court concluded …
