Calif. Appellate Court Affirms $8.3 Million Verdict Entered for DePuy ASR XL Hip Implant Plaintiff

LOS ANGELES –– A California appellate court has affirmed an $8.3 million verdict entered in a DePuy ASR XL hip implant case, ruling in part that the trial court correctly barred evidence that the U.S. Food & Drug Administration approved the device since such testimony was not relevant to the issue of whether the product was defective under Montana law.
