Ohio Judge Dismisses Claims Asserted Against Pain Pump Makers; Grants Leave to Amend

CLEVELAND — An Ohio federal judge has dismissed claims asserted against the makers of a pain pump that allegedly caused a man to develop chondrolysis, ruling that they are abrogated by the state products liability act and/or insufficiently pled.
However, in the June 24 order, Judge Christopher A. Boyko of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio granted the plaintiff leave to amend his complaint.
