JPML Asked to Consider Arguments for Transfer of Abilify Compulsive Behavior Cases

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Plaintiffs have asked the U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation for argument and consideration to be scheduled regarding a motion to transfer all federal Abilify compulsive behavior cases to Florida for coordinated and consolidated pretrial hearings.
On June 24, Denise and Brad Miley — with the consent of other plaintiffs and defendants Bristol-Myers Squibb Co., Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd., and Otsuka America Pharmaceutical Inc. — argued that if the panel does not consider the argument during its July 28 hearing, the parties’ joint motion to transfer will not be heard until Sept. 29.
