Pinnacle Hip Implant Plaintiffs Oppose Motion to Stay Additional Trials, Say Defendants Haven’t Proven Stay is Warranted

DALLAS –– Plaintiffs with claims pending in the national coordinated docket for DePuy Pinnacle Hip Implant cases have opposed recent defense efforts to stay additional trials pending the resolution of the appeal of the second bellwether trial cases –– which ended in a $502 million verdict –– arguing that, even if the 5th Circuit does rule against the plaintiffs, it is unlikely that ruling will have a “significant impact on the upcoming bellwether trials.”
