TRENTON, N.J. — In a new lawsuit, a Kentucky woman says her ingestion of the type 2 diabetes drug Invokana caused her to suffer a stroke and that the makers of the drug failed to warn of stroke and other serious, possibly deadly, risks.
The June 1 complaint was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey against Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Johnson & Johnson, and Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma Corp., accusing them of concealing their knowledge of Invokana’s unreasonably dangerous risks from consumers and the medical community.
