Plaintiffs Who Won $11 Million Verdict in Conserve Hip Implant Case Oppose Post-Trial Motions; Say Defendant is Playing ‘Monday Morning Quarterback’

ATLANTA –– Plaintiffs to which jurors awarded $11 million at the conclusion of a trial involving Wright Medical Technology’s Conserve Hip Implant have opposed the defendant’s renewed motion for judgment as a matter of law, saying the company is “desperate” to overturn or reduce the verdict, but that its attempts are “futile.”
In the Feb. 26 opposition brief filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the plaintiffs said that the court’s decisions were proper and the “verdicts and damages are supported by more than sufficient evidence.”
