NEWARK, N.J. –– Plaintiffs’ liaison counsel involved in the national coordinated docket for Durom Hip Cup claims has opposed a recent motion to waive contribution to the common benefit fund, saying that the effort is “insulting” to the counsel and “is wholly oblivious to the larger context….”
In the Feb. 22 opposition brief filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, the counsel said it had “expended thousands of hours and millions of dollars” working the Durom Hip Cup cases up from scratch and that the plaintiff’s settlement would not have been possible without this work …
