Wright Medical Files Post-Trial Motion in Wake of $11 Million Conserve Hip Implant Verdict

ATLANTA - Wright Medical Technology has filed a renewed motion for judgment as a matter of law or, alternatively, for a new trial in a Conserve Hip Implant case, contesting a $11 million verdict reached in November.
In the Jan. 28 motion, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, Wright Medical Technology said that it is entitled to a judgment on all claims in light of the fact that the jury found that the hip implant was not defectively designed.
